Activities in this context refers to those group interests that don't fit into the category of sports. There are a variety of activities pursued in Dayton. Examples include:

Future Farmers of America

As a rural community with citizens involved in both farming and ranching, it should come as no surprise that Dayton has an active chapter of Future Farmers of America.  One of their more recent accomplishments is their adoption of a local rodeo arena that has been transformed into a covered modern arena capable of hosting regional events. These young people and their mentors are actively involved in the yearly Houston Livestock & Rodeo show where they compete.
